I'm heading out in a bit towards the border with El Salvador, ill be crossing tomorrow.
I left Tapachuala and that same day crossed into Guatemala and rode to a little town called Las Delicias where it started to rain really hard so i ate at a road side restaurant and spent the night there, met a bunch of people, and overall was a good night, their dog wouldnt stop barking though and trucks passed pretty often till about 2am, a little cat slept in my lap while i read my book and i was given some really good coffe with bread for dinner and breakfast, the grandmother of the family was so sweet and cared for me with great attention, she wouldnt let me pay her either!, i met two young guys traveling on a motorcycle, and they told me about the area end showed me pics on their cell, also a truck stopped that was previously in bridgeport, ct which i thought was pretty funny since i lived right there practically and here i am 3000m away!, for more check out the picks. From here i rode a long 133k day to Santa Lucia, a pretty busy little town, where i found a cheap hotel, about $4 for the night, but it was pretty basic, more in the pics too. The view of so many volcanos along the way was pretty awsome and seeing them puff out smoke was cool!. Then i rode to Escuintla ashort 36k ride, where im staing a a nice hotel, so i can use the internet to plan my rout through salvador and honduras cuzz i couldn't find a map, and my mexico map ended here, here at the hotel i met a nice family in the pool area, it was sunday so people from around come and pay to use the pool area end get food from the restaurant so they use it more or less as a club, i met a waitress called Karol, who just graduated as a tourist guide so i told her about the ecoturism boom in peru and other countries and she said she wanted to go to the us to study english to then come back and be a bilingual guide. Anyway kinda in a rush so ill write some more later, love u all.
