WELCOME!

My Photo

Hi! My name is Juan Carlos Florez, and this is a blog covering a trip by bicyle from San Antonio, TX, USA to Puerto Maldonado, Madre de Dios, Peru. I am a practitioner of harmless living. I've been a carpenter-home builder for the past 15 years, I also have a degree in holistic health counseling, and am on this journey to continue my learning with an amazonian native healer I met not long ago. This trip, besides being the "greenest" way to travel, is also an initiation, and a pilgrimage. Hope you enjoy my journey!!!

  1. Hey Juankita the Lunar eclipse was awesome. I've been following the weather in Colombia and maybe you should consider transforming your bike into a Kayak. It will be nice to talk once you get to Bucaramanga…take care. I send you lots of positive energy, hope you have a merry Christmas, stay dry...it's really pouring down there.

  2. Juany,

This sounds beautiful! I am hoping you were able to see the lunar eclipse. It was cloudy here, so not many saw it. I miss you a TON. You're pictures are spectacular. We are hopefully expecing snow around Christmas. It reminds me of when we went sledding in the snow strom those years ago on Christmas day. All my love & prayers xoxo.
